Heavy-Duty Caulk Gun
Dicor 501LSW and most professional sealants come in standard 10.3 oz caulk tubes — the format that requires a proper caulk gun to apply correctly.
A 10:1 thrust ratio means you can apply consistent, controlled pressure without the bead running away from you. The dripless mechanism releases pressure when you lift your trigger finger, so the sealant stops flowing when you want it to. A smooth-rod frame (versus ratchet) gives you finer control over flow rate.
If you're buying Dicor to apply to vent flanges, you need this or something equivalent. Trying to apply caulk without a proper gun is how you end up with an uneven bead, wasted sealant, and a repair that fails in the first freeze cycle.
